On 31 st December 2004 a Director of Angel Travel, who was not scheduled to work, watched the horrific television images of the disaster around the Pacific Coastline. He decided to work and donate all the takings to the disaster fund.
The generosity of the passengers was overwhelming, with several paying well over the appropriate fare. Bar staff at Warmington Social Club handed over their night's tips, several donations were received, and even three young lads emptied their pockets of all their change.
